Better Men's Retreat 2025 — Forged for a Greater Future
A Report by COME — Centre for Outreach, Mentorship & Empowerment
Godswill T.K. Mensah — Executive Director, COME

From May 30 to June 1, 2025, the tranquil banks of the Volta River became the anvil where destinies were forged. At Chill River Resort in Anyanui, about 40 men gathered — not for escape, but for encounter. Not to relax, but to be re-formed. The Better Men's Retreat 2025 was not just another program — it was a prophetic call to reclaim divine masculinity in a confused world. Built on the themes of crisis, identity, purpose, and brotherhood, the retreat dared to redefine manhood under heaven's gaze. ---

Day One — The Crisis Named
The retreat opened with a striking keynote address by Godswill T.K. Mensah, Executive Director of COME: > ## "The Crisis of Manhood: Is It Too Late?" This message exposed the silent war against authentic manhood and set the stage for a soul-searching journey. The following day's message, *"Joseph: A Character Portrait," offered a redemptive mirror for every man navigating a culture that rewards compromise. That evening, a powerful screening of The Forge* deepened the emotional resonance — as men saw their personal stories of pain, struggle, and hope come alive on screen. ---
Day Two — The Forge Ignites
Saturday ignited with intensity. Breakout labs for teenage boys, young adults, and married men led to raw, transformative conversations about sex, power, discipline, influence, and destiny. Elder Amos Kevin-Annan delivered a riveting session on identity, masculinity, and sexuality — culminating in a moving consecration service where men recommitted themselves to a life of purpose and purity. ---
Day Three — The Covenant Signed
The final act of the retreat was both symbolic and sacred: the signing of *The Better Man Commitment Pack.* Each man took a stand — pen in hand, soul awakened — to pledge to a higher standard of manhood. It was more than a document; it was a covenant. This moment signified that what began as a weekend retreat had become the launching pad for a life-long movement of transformation. ---
COME's Mission in Action
More than a spiritual encounter, this retreat was a clear expression of COME's mission: to raise a new generation of men who lead with courage, love with integrity, and serve with vision. At COME, we are committed to: - Mentoring boys - Empowering fathers - Strengthening husbands - Rebuilding the male soul for national transformation *Forged for a Greater Future* was not an event — it was a legacy. ---
A Word of Gratitude
To every speaker, every participant, and every man who dared to look in the mirror — thank you. And to the extraordinary team at Prince Emmanuel AMM, especially *Nii Amankra Tetteh, whose leadership, logistics, and vision made the invisible kingdom visible — your efforts turned a dream into destiny. We were not just hosted; we were humbled, inspired, and made better. --- — Godswill T.K. Mensah, Executive Director, COME | Monday, 2nd June, 2025*
